За роки Незалежності українські олімпійці здобули 151 медаль на літніх і 9 — на зимових Іграх, гідно утвердивши Україну на світовій спортивній арені. У 2026 році головний зимовий старт чотириріччя відбудеться в Італії, де Україну представлятимуть спортсмени в 11 видах спорту, які готувалися до Ігор в надзвичайно складних умовах воєнного часу.
